Travel Blog 363: A Frog, a Nuthatch, and a Squirrel Named Bob
We have been on an eastbound quest heading from the Des Moines West KOA and stopping off to see my sisters and a cousin for lunch at the Riverside Casino. Here is a pic of me (I am the tallest one), my sisters Ruby and Rosanne, and cousin Joan.
Then on to Clark’s Ferry Rec Area by Muscatine, right on the Mississippi River. Here is a picture of a Mississippi frog.
From there we made our second casino stop, camping at the Hollywood Casino near Joliet. We dropped our coach off at Lazydays of Elkhart for service, and then spent a few days with Jan’s brother Wayne, his wife Anna, and pups Guido and Polly. Then we picked up the coach for a stay at Markin Glen Park outside of Kalamazoo.
We had a great time at Wayne and Anna’s on Long Lake, sitting on the deck overlooking the water, plus boarding their boat at the edge of their lawn and motoring around the lake. All the following pics were taken at their place. Here is a pic of Anna, Jan, and good friend Donna; a relaxing Guido; Jack on the boat; Polly; and Wayne, Toby, and Guido on the boat.
Here is Bob the pet squirrel eating at his feeder on the deck and a white-breasted nuthatch on the deck as well.
See you next time.
