Travel Blog 364: A Stay Again at Markin Glen
Markin Glen is a beautiful county park that just happens to have a roomy 32-site campground, swimming, beaching, fishing, biking, strolling, dog walking, wildflower gazing, and more. Here is an evening primrose, a compass plant, black-eyed susans, a corn flower, a loosestrife, and peppers.
One is only occasionally lucky enough to capture an image of a Northern flicker butt in motion, but I got one! Also, here is a monarch butterfly in action and some boxcar graffiti I captured from a train near the park.
Kalamazoo River Valley Trail
The Park also adjoins and connects with the Kalamazoo River Valley Trail that offers more miles through Michigan woods.
Pics from the Past
The last time we stayed at Markin Glen was October of 2012. These two photos make me want to stay another month to capture the fall colors!
Finally, here is a boat-riding Toby keeping his Hollywood tan in tip-top condition.
See you next time.
