Jan, Jack, Toby, and I have been hunkering down in the desert country of Southern Arizona, about 37 miles north of the Mexican border. This is our third season here at the same RV park, and each time we stay a little longer. Yes, the weather is wonderful most all the time, and the park is a good value, but it is the people that makes us come and makes us stay.

We have a wonderful site with a mountain view to the east and our own critter park 15 feet north of our front door. Our hummingbird feeder gets lots of action, and several other birds traipse in to feast on the peanut butter/lard/masa that Jan creates and I deposit in the Palo Verde tree and surrounding rocks.

Here are a couple photos of some good-looking big horn sheep, a male and a female cactus wren, a male gila woodpecker, a Western fence lizard, a kestrel, an orangetip butterfly, three hummingbirds, and Jan’s storm photo.
